2024-2025 Season

2024-2025 Season Calendar

Last season we produced 5 concerts - this year we are producing 8 completely unique shows of contemporary music!

Our 2024-2025 Calendar brings the collective back to some familiar venues and takes us on the road for our first university residency! Every concert features a world premiere, a local and living composer, or a brand new programming concept.

Our season opener is a showcase of solo pieces performed by our fantastic musicians. Each piece on the program is enhanced with something extra: interactive electronics, video projections, or other electronic sounds - Solo+.

The first ATLCMC Chamber Orchestra concert of the season sees our return to Oak Grove United Methodist for a program of all-female composers - New Resonance*

We are partnering with collective electronic musician and composer Jordan Benator band’s Album Release Party at Wild Heaven Brewery in the West End. The ATLCMC joins the Atlanta Space Quartet for a one-night-only performance of music from their debut album.

Our first Chamber Orchestra concert in 2025 is an experiment in form: /con-cer-3/ features three incredible concerti and soloists, each showcasing their unusual instruments alongside the orchestra.

The ATLCMC Chamber Orchestra hits the road for our first residency with the University of Georgia Composition department. We will read 4 new student works, have an afternoon recording session, and present a free concert. Audiences are invited to the free evening concert.

To close our season, we are thrilled to join the wonderful community at the South River Arts Studios for a two-part concert.

In the afternoon, join ATLCMC percussionists for a Deep Listening Scavenger Hunt, featuring long form percussion solos placed throughout the many galleries, artist workshops, and spaces around the studios.

After the first concert, we hope that you stay throughout the evening to join us for a social hour featuring an art market of South River artists with local food trucks.

We close the evening - and our season -  with Mid Century Minimalist Classics. Musicians from all over the ATLCMC orbit will join to perform open form works by Julius Eastman, Frederic Rzewski, Earle Brown, and La Monte Young.
